The MRDesigns 2022 Birthday Fundraiser supports the Umoja Learning Community - Sierra College.

Umoja (a Kiswahili word meaning unity) is a community dedicated to enhancing the cultural and educational experiences of African American and other students. It is a family that helps its members navigate the college environment and become successful in education.

What is the MRDesigns Birthday Fundraiser?
​
Every year in the May, the birth month of founder and designer Malika Green, MRDesigns hosts a "pay what you can" event where customers purchase items specially curated for the event while donating to a institution that works to improve and support the lives of underserved populations.

How it works:
1. The event runs Wednesday, May 25 - Sunday, May 29
2. MRDesigns Fundraiser is an Instagram and Facebook only event - Make sure to follow!
​
3. Swipe through the carousel of virtual images on my Instagram Page on Monday, May 23
4. Pay what you can: All Items are posted on Monday, May 23 with a base/minimum price covering cost of materials. Whatever is donated by you over the minimum price goes directly to Umoja Learning Community
​
5. DM me with the Item # in your message and your donation amount (the amount beyond the minimum price).
​
6. $5 USD shipping will be added to price for domestic orders. Invoices sent via paypal, cashapp or other means decided upon by Malika and customer.
​
7. Donation is sent to Umoja within 14 days of the close of the event.
